Intent

We are all indebted to Infrastructure.  The Interstate, electrical distribution, and water deployment are just a few of the systems and networks that guide, support, and underlie our everyday existence.  This notion of such massive systems, in and around our lives, that go largely unappreciated and taken for granted is intriguing.  I see Molded Polystyrene Packaging, commonly referred to as Styrofoam, as a component of the infrastructure of Commerce.  These geometric, cellular, and weightless containers are viewed as vessels of assessment, and in the end, speak to my belief that infrastructure is not something to be hidden, or forgotten, but instead can inspire and inform a new landscape.
